The Winning Gadget
Looking after your health includes looking after those pearly whites too, but brushing your teeth can often feel like a boring chore, especially when you also have to nag your little ones to do the same. Fear not, 2015 winner of the Health Tech & You Awards, Ben Underwood has invented BrushDJ to occupy your daily brush routine: “Dentist Ben Underwood developed Brush DJ as a means to encourage good oral health practices in both parents and children. It is a free toothbrush timer app that plays two minutes of music taken from the user’s playlist to encourage brushing for an effective length of time. The app also allows users to set reminders to brush twice a day, floss, use a mouth rinse and when next to see their dentist or hygienist.” – Health Tech & You Awards 2015.
Dental health and hygiene can be expensive, but Key Health can offer ‘stand alone’ dental cover with Denplan or you can add dental cover to your private healthcare plan with various providers like Aviva, Vitality Health, AXA PPP, Bupa, WPA and April. You could also consider a cash plan, these cost effective plans offer great value covering areas like dental care, opticians bills, acupuncture and health screens.
